Our Predictions For Blast Slam V
Our writer didn’t just channel their inner Oracle (a Dota 2 hero that can bend fate) to make our expert BLAST Slam V betting predictions. Instead, the focus was on diligent research, considering expected player form, recent event results, matchup histories, and the potential impact of roster changes.

Tundra Esports
To say that Tundra Esports is dominating the BLAST Slam tournament series could still be considered an understatement. After placing 2nd at the inaugural event on Dec. 1, 2024, Tundra has proved unstoppable.
After winning BLAST Slam II, III, and IV, it would be foolish to think this team couldn’t make it to another Grand Final. On Nov. 9, 2025, Tundra Esports lifted the BLAST Slam IV trophy by beating The International 2025 champions, Team Falcons, 3-2 in an incredible comeback. The team has some standout superstars that are among some of our top picks for best in their role.
Tundra Esports roster:
- Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko
- Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
- Neta “33” Shapira (Captain)
- Matthew “Ari” Walker
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
- David “MoonMeander” Tan (Coach)
Xtreme Gaming
As the BLAST Slam V host region invite, Chinese juggernauts Xtreme Gaming are hungry to lift an S-Tier trophy in front of their home crowd. There’s an air of excitement among fans of Chinese teams, as BLAST Slam V marks one of the first events where Xtreme Gaming will compete with their new powerhouse roster. On Oct. 1, 2025, Xtreme Gaming announced the addition of legendary midlaner Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang, along with support duo Yap “xNova” Jian Wei and Xu “fy” Linsen.
It was a close call between Team Tidebound and Xtreme Gaming, with our expert picking the latter as the Chinese team to make it to the BLAST Slam V Grand Final. After all, Xtreme Gaming did claim 2nd place at The International 2025, and their roster now looks stronger than ever before.
Xtreme Gaming roster:
- Wang “Ame” Chunyu
- Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang
- Lin “Xxs” Jing
- Xu “fy” Linsen
- Yap “xNova” Jian Wei
- Zhang “xiao8” Ning (Coach)
Team Falcons
Team Falcons has a lot of potential heading into this event. And their potential will only increase if Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak remains on form in the midlane and captain Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf can continue to make fantastic calls.
After lifting the Aegis of Champions, Falcons showcased consistent and dominant play by winning FISSURE Playground 2. They also came close to winning the BLAST Slam IV Grand Final, but lost by a narrow margin to Tundra Esports.
At the very least, we predict that Team Falcons will soar to a podium finish.
Team Falcons roster:
- Oliver “skiter” Lepko
- Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak
- Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf (Captain)
- Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen
- Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu
- Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling (Coach)
Team Yandex
Team Yandex impressed and shocked the Dota 2 esports world at FISSURE Playground 2. After some stunning plays, including 2-1 reverse-sweep wins against Tundra Esports and MOUZ, Yandex earned a 3rd-place finish, losing to eventual champions Team Falcons.
If the Kazakhstani duo of Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov (PO1) and Arman “Malady” Orazbayev (PO5) in the safelane can repeat their performance at FISSURE Playground 2, the sky’s the limit for this crew.
Even with their Cinderella run at FISSURE Playground 2, penciling Yandex into the top four remains our bold pick for BLAST Slam V.
Team Yandex roster:
- Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov
- Ilya “CHIRA_JUNIOR” Chirtsov
- Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko
- Martin “Saksa” Sazdov (Stand-In)
- Arman “Malady” Orazbayev
- Alexander “Accell” Litvinenko (Coach)
Please note: At the time of writing, it’s not 100% confirmed that Saksa will compete under the Team Yandex banner at BLAST Slam V.
