We spoke to Krimbo, part of the last minute additions, Ninjas in Pyjamas right ahead of day one of TWC 2026. He gave a humble look at his time switching to the IGL role and expectations for Thunderpick World Championship’s latest iteration.

What sort of prep do you guys actually get to do ahead of a tournament like this when it’s this last minute?

I mean in general we just always practice and then we just prepare for the enemy the day before, which we can do today. But yeah, we just, we come from a tournament yesterday so. But yeah, still happy to be here and, yeah.

You are one of the few teams here that have kind of been on a hot streak and kind of like picking up these really solid results. Do you think that’s going to give you momentum to turn over NIP’s previous results at TWC?

Not quite sure about TWC results because I was not part of the team. But I mean in general, of course we have a good streak going right now, but I mean every game is just, it’s always a new game. Right. The cards are newly drawn, how you want to call it. And yeah, we just keep working out and do our best.

Which group do you think is the hardest out of the two so far?

I don’t know. If you can tell me the groups then I definitely can tell you.
…
Maybe our group a bit more stacked. Yeah.

If you guys can make it out of into playoffs. Is there a team from the other group that you think you’d want to play?

I think it’s nice to, to play FURIA. I played them a lot in my past and it’s always great games against them.

Your first match is kind of a difficult one as well. Having you know the major winners. Is there a extra pressure that comes with playing like such a story team like Falcons?

I wouldn’t say pressure because especially when you play like a team like them and our situation then like there’s less pressure. I would say then there’s maybe more enjoyment because I mean they play good even if they didn’t have the best results at the last couple of times they can always win the tournament.

Like last tournament can be bad. They can win next one. So. Yeah, but I would say it comes with more enjoyment than pressure, to be honest.

What’s it like to kind of play with someone that you used to have to play against in this kind of series?

You mean with Adamb? Or like NIP or in general? I played more against Stavn and Shush and NIP and exist when he was coaching in Heroic. Who played them? I don’t know, 10, 15 times at least with Beck. And it’s always been great games because we always had this small rivalry kind of where we would maybe not play the as big, where we wouldn’t play good the half, like the last half year. And then we would manage to win against Heroic, for example. And then. So it’s nice to play with this and pick their minds up as well.

What has been the most interesting thing about making that role change to In Game Leader?

I mean, it comes with a lot of responsibility, which I also really like to do, like to take. And I mean the most. I mean, a lot of position switches, but obviously just the hard work because you. You have to put out, put the hours in for the team, you know, on the tactical or the analytical level outside of the game.

But you also kind of have to see where you can stay sharp on your individual game. So combining these two at the beginning has been a lot. So I would say this one.

Adamb has said previously that you think that NiP can become like a Top 10 team soon. Where does that confidence come from?

I mean, for sure we have the potential to be. To be a top 10 team, but yeah, I mean, we just gotta keep working. We gotta, you know, when we get the opportunity like this to play in Thunderpick, we also have to use it and get some points and to get back in the invite circuit. But we for sure have the potential. But I think we just need time. We had maybe one or two weeks of practice in total. Otherwise we’ve just been like, traveling around and just playing off each other.

So, yeah, like, we definitely have the, how you say it, the potential too. But let’s see.

If you were to get to play with another player from a different team that’s in the venue, who would be the person you’d most.

To play with with another team of this event?
I would say NiKo, probably.

Who do you think is going to come first and which team do you think is coming last?

I think Falcons first and us last.
