Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage Opening Matches
Quarterfinal matchups were decided by a live on-stage draw on Oct. 31. Teams that advanced with a 3–0 record (DK and GEN) were matched against those with a 3–2 record (BLG, KC, and LYON), with remaining teams paired against each other.
In the Quarterfinals, the Right of First Selection goes to the team with the better Swiss Stage match record, with ties broken by Draw Order. For the Semifinals and Final, this right is determined by a coin flip.

Our Predictions For The Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage
Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and the latest available odds. This analysis should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.
Gen.G (#1)
Gen.G (GPR #1) are our favorite to take home the Summoner’s Cup, with outright odds of 2.37 reflecting a 42.19% implied probability of victory.
After finishing 1st in the LCK 2026 Season, Gen.G entered Swiss with huge momentum behind them. They confidently beat IG and LCK rival HLE 1–0 in their opening games before reverse-sweeping LYON 2–1, qualifying for the Knockout Stage with a 3–0 series record and a 4–1 game record (+3 game differential).
Beyond the team’s exceptional macro and synergy, Canyon has been a major part of Gen.G’s Worlds 2026 campaign, recording a tournament-leading 10.5 KD among junglers (2nd overall). He also tops the jungle with 609 DPM, 471 GPM, and an average of 627 GD@15. Meanwhile, Ruler provides raw finishing power, averaging five kills per game and a team-high 707 DPM. His 519 GPM also ranks 3rd overall.
Gen.G’s 74.4% win rate and 1.50 team KD offer even more reason to back them, with a favorable 90.74% no-vig probability of winning their opener against LYON further strengthening the case for a deep run. If all goes well, Gen.G will face TES or IG next — two teams they lead in historical head-to-head meetings.
Gen.G roster:
- Kim “Kiin” Gi-in
- Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu
- Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon
- Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk
- Joo “Duro” Min-kyu
- Ryu “Ryu” Sang-wook (Head Coach)
T1 (#2)
Three-time defending champions T1 (GPR #4) are our #2 pick to win Worlds 2026, with their opening match against KC offering a more favorable path to the Final than BLG’s opener against unbeaten Swiss qualifier DK.
Our earlier Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage predictions put T1 at #3 to lift the Summoner’s Cup – and it’s safe to say they have not disappointed. In the Swiss Stage, T1 tapped into their “Worlds aura,” going 3–1 in series with a 4–1 game record (+3 game differential), beating LOS 1–0, CFO 1–0, and MKOI 2–0 and dropping only a single game to DK.
Even without Gumayusi, T1 have proven their staying power, with the legendary core of Faker, Keria, and Oner looking stronger than ever to capture a historic fourth straight Worlds title. Not convinced? Keria, Faker, Doran, and Peyz all comfortably rank among the top-10 players in KD, with Oner further behind at 6.0.
With outright odds of 4.50 implying a 22.22% chance of victory and a world-class roster offering a dangerous edge, a T1 vs. Gen.G Final seems entirely realistic.
T1 roster:
- Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon
- Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun
- Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
- Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan
- Ryu “Keria” Min-seok
- Im “Tom” Jae-hyeon (Head Coach)
Bilibili Gaming (#3)
Despite entering Worlds 2026 with one of the strongest international resumes, Bilibili Gaming are our #3 pick to take the Worlds title.
The LPL giant’s earlier dominance has since dampened after exiting the Swiss Stage with a 3–2 series record and an underwhelming 5–3 game record (+2 game differential) and a 62.5% win rate. BLG managed to sweep the LCK juggernaut HLE 2–0, but lost against both MKOI and TES, dropping both series 0–1 and 1–2, respectively.
Even so, BLG maintain a strong 70.3% season win rate and 1.44 KD, giving them enough firepower to challenge for a Worlds title. While they are favored to win their opener against DK, a 58.2% no-vig probability suggests it will be a tough matchup, especially since the single-elimination Knockout format offers no chance of a later comeback.
At outright odds of 5.50, BLG have an 18.18% implied probability of lifting the Summoner’s Cup. However, they’ll need to overcome a difficult opening matchup first, with a possible Semifinal against T1 adding another major hurdle on their path to the Final.
Bilibili Gaming roster:
- Chen “Bin” Ze-bin
- Peng “Xun” Li-xun
- Zhuo “Knight” Ding
- Park “Viper” Do-hyeon
- Luo “ON” Wen-jun
- Yang “Daeny” Dae-in (Head Coach)
