Established by former StarCraft and WarCraft pro player Sun “xiaOt” Liwei, eStar Gaming made its mark as a Chinese Heroes of the Storm (HotS) team. Since its creation on Oct. 10, 2014, the org’s teams have continued competing at China’s highest levels.

eStar Gaming’s HotS team fought tooth and nail for nearly three years before disbanding, earning $647,291 in prize money via multiple tournaments. In 2016, they entered the Honor of Kings (Arena of Valor) scene with unstoppable force. They quickly showed dominance in the popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game from TiMi Studio Group.

From 2019 to 2021, eStar Gaming occupied a coveted League of Legends Pro League (LPL) slot. Drawn by their success, Nenking Group acquired the roster and LPL slot, renaming the team as Ultra Prime.
