Our Predictions For LCK Spring 2024

Need some help making your LCK Spring 2024 outright predictions? Here is our analysis of the top four teams competing in this year’s League of Legends regional championship.

Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.

1. T1

It’s no shocker that T1 is the frontrunner for the 2024 LCK Spring Split crown. Beyond their titanic status in LoL esports, the Korean juggernaut left an indelible mark at Worlds 2023, showcasing skilled and stylish gameplay. These hallmarks of success are rooted in their strong synergy and enviable adaptability.

With an unaltered roster, the return of head coach kkOma significantly boosts T1’s prospects of securing the LCK Spring 2024 title, especially amid the recent LoL 14.1 patch and meta changes. Combined with their unpredictability and strategic depth, this all makes T1 a formidable team with the potential to finally break their curse in the LCK.

T1 roster:

  • Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
  • Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon
  • Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
  • Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
  • Ryu “Keria” Min-seok

2. Gen.G Esports

Gen.G is a team that could contend for the LCK Spring 2024 title, marked by a strong roster comprising recruits Kiin, Lehends, and goated jungler Canyon. Another notable addition is Worlds 2014 champ Mata as coach, managed by head coach Kim, who could bring the strategic edge and experience needed for the team to thrive.

Historically, Gen.G has demonstrated consistent high-level performance, with impressive seasonal records both domestically and internationally. However, there is some concern about the team being somewhat volatile amid such significant roster changes, which raises a question about their ability to stay on form.

Despite the odds supporting Gen.G as a notable contender, the key to their success at LCK Spring 2024 hinges on Canyon’s ability to return to his 2020 glory and synergize with last year’s Summer and Spring Split Finals MVPs Chovy and Peyz. These may be the deciding factors in whether Gen.G maintains its top-tier status.

Gen.G Esports roster:

  • Kim “Kiin” Gi-in
  • Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu
  • Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon
  • Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan
  • Son “Lehends” Si-woo

3. Hanwha Life Esports

Hanwha Life emerges as a superteam with a shot at dethroning T1. They have assembled an exceptionally strong roster around Zeka and Viper—both titans in their own right—to become one of the top competitors in LCK Spring 2024.

The acquisition of ex-Gen.G players Doran, Peanut, and Delight also hints at a potentially stable and adaptable lineup for HLE, with the trio clinching both LCK Spring and Summer titles in 2023. Beyond this, Delight’s cohesion with Viper is thought to give HLE an especially strong botside.

All things considered, the odds position Hanwha Life as a strong contender for second or third place in the upcoming Split, with a realistic chance to upend the established LCK hierarchy that is heavily contingent on playmakers Zeka and Viper bringing their A-game.

Hanwha Life Esports roster:

  • Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon
  • Han “Peanut” Wang-ho
  • Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo
  • Park “Viper” Do-hyeon
  • Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong

4. KT Rolster

Our fourth prediction was a close contest between KT Rolster and Dplus KIA, but ultimately, we went with KTR. Importantly, this decision is not without its complexities. For starters, the team’s lineup includes rookie top laner PerfecT, whose performance is yet to be properly assessed in the LCK.

On the other hand, he is complemented by three former DRX and 2022 Worlds champions: BeryL, Deft, and Pyosik, along with Bdd, who has a solid track record in the domestic league. However, the former DRX 2022 squad has yet to compete together outside that specific meta, introducing much uncertainty.

Overall, KT Rolster’s ability to perform is highly contingent on Bdd and Deft being on form, with BeryL’s run last year proving subpar. While KTR is viewed as a strong team, there is some reservation about their true potential and ability to contend with the likes of T1, Gen.G, and HLE at LCK Spring 2024.

KT Rolster roster:

  • Lee “PerfecT” Seung-min
  • Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon
  • Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong
  • Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu
  • Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee
