After seven long weeks, LCS 2026 Summer concludes the Summer Split by determining North America’s regional champion and, more importantly, the three teams representing the region at the League of Legends World Championship. But which of the six contenders will make the cut?
To help you back your picks, we’ve shared our betting predictions for the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs, including an analysis of the teams we believe have the strongest chance of surviving the bracket and lifting the Championship trophy in Georgia.

LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs Schedule & Format
The LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs run from Sept. 12 to Oct. 4, with the LCS Championship ending in front of a live audience at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia, just outside Atlanta.
Riot has brought back the same format used at the 2024 LCS Summer Playoffs, with the top six teams from the Regular Season advancing to a double-elimination bracket. The top two seeds receive a bye directly to the Upper Bracket Semifinals, while the next four teams begin from the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals.
All Playoff matches will be played as best-of-five series under Fearless Draft rules, meaning any champion picked in a previous game will not be available to either team for the remainder of that series.

Prize Pool Distribution
No cash prize has been publicly announced for the LCS 2026 Summer Split.
Instead, teams will be competing for regional dominance and a chance to represent North America on home soil at the 2026 World Championship. The top three LCS teams will qualify directly to Worlds, while those finishing 4th–5th will each earn a spot at the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational.

LYON (#1)
LYON (GPR #6) are heavy favorites at the Summer Playoffs, with prediction markets giving them a 55% implied probability of outright victory.
They have dominated the domestic circuit, clinching both the LCS Lock-In and LCS Spring titles by beating C9 3–1 and TLAW 3–0 in the respective Grand Finals. Internationally, LYON also finished 5th–6th at First Stand and 3rd at MSI, sweeping FUR, TSW, and G2 before pushing eventual champions HLE to a full five-game series.
LYON’s Summer Split performance has been equally impressive, concluding the Regular Season as the #1 seed at 6–1 with a 13–2 game record (+11 differential). After sweeping both C9 and TLAW 2–0 in Week 6, LYON currently has a 5–1 H2H record against TLAW and 3–2 against C9 in 2026, giving them confidence going into the Playoffs.
With a direct Semifinal berth, LYON has one of the clearest paths to lift the LCS 2026 Summer trophy.

Team Liquid (#2)
Team Liquid (GPR #14) is our #2 pick to take the LCS 2026 Summer Split title, supported by a strong 19–10 record (65.5% win rate) this year and a 32% implied probability of outright victory.
After finishing 4th at LCS Lock-In and 2nd at LCS Spring, Liquid concluded the Summer Regular Season as the #2 seed with a 6–1 record and a 12–3 game record (+9 differential), earning a bye directly to the Semifinals. The only series they dropped was the 0–2 defeat to LYON in Week 6.
Beyond that, Liquid boasts a strong roster with no weak links.
ADC Yeon is tied for 2nd with Quid in average kills and ranks 2nd in damage at 5.3 kills and 790 DPM, respectively. Quid is equally effective from mid, recording 735 DPM (6th) and a 505 GD@15 (3rd) to build a strong early lane lead. Even support CoreJJ ranks 3rd in the Summer Split with a 7.3 KDA, averaging 12.8 assists and 75.5% KP.
Liquid will play against the winner of the C9 vs SR opener in the Upper Semifinals. They currently hold a 3–2 H2H record against C9 and a dominant 5–0 record against SR this year, giving them a favorable matchup regardless of which team advances.

Cloud9 (#3)
Cloud9 (GPR #17) rounds out our top three, with prediction markets giving them an 11% implied probability of outright victory on $10,836 in trading volume.
C9 have remained one of North America’s most consistent teams this year, finishing 2nd at both LCS Lock-In and the Americas Cup before placing 3rd at LCS Spring. This momentum was carried directly into Summer, where C9 finished 5–2 with a 10–7 game record, beating DIG, DSG, FLY, SEN, and SR for the third seed.
Despite that, Cloud9 ranks behind LYON and Liquid after suffering 0–2 defeats to both teams during the Regular Season and a 2–3 H2H record against each in 2026. Unlike the top two seeds, C9 will also begin the Playoffs from the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, where their opening series against SR will be the first litmus test of their title credentials.
While odds of 1.22 imply a 75.7% no-vig probability of victory, the real challenge will come in the Semifinals against Team Liquid, where a matchup against the region’s #2 seed could expose the gap, should Cloud9 advance.
