LEC Summer 2024 Schedule & Format

LEC Summer 2024 runs from June 1 through July 28, 2024 at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany. The tournament will be split into a Regular Season (June 8-30) and Playoffs (July 12-28), featuring 10 professional LoL teams from the EMEA region.

Teams Competing In LEC Summer 2024

Ten EMEA teams are competing at LEC Summer 2024. The prize pool is set at €80,000 (~$86,514), but the main prize is a direct entry into the LoL World Championship for the top team.

Here are all the teams competing at LEC Summer 2024:

Our Predictions For LEC Summer 2024

LEC Summer 2024 will be hotly contested, with each team trying to secure a spot at Worlds 2024. That’s exactly why predicting the outcomes can be tricky! But with close analysis and research, we put together our predictions for who may come out on top.

Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and the latest available odds. This analysis should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.

1. G2 Esports

G2 is the top contender at LEC Summer 2024 by a long shot. The Berlin-based team has been crushing the European league, clinching victories at LEC Summer and Season Finals in 2023, plus LEC Spring and Winter titles in 2024. Internationally, they’ve also impressed, placing 4th at MSI 2023.

The team’s success is built on the shoulders of mid laner Caps (4.9 KDA), who has come in clutch this season! Legends like top laner BrokenBlade (4.3 KDA), support Mikyx, and bot laner Hans Sama (5.4 KDA) are also regarded as the best in the LEC in their respective roles. That’s exactly why G2 is expected to dominate, whether playing comfort, meta, or off-label picks.

G2 Esports roster:

  • Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik
  • Martin “Yike” Sundelin
  • Rasmus “Caps” Winther
  • Steven “Hans Sama” Liv
  • Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle

2. Fnatic

Fnatic is the most likely team to clinch a top-2 spot at LEC Summer 2024. They made a huge impression during the recent Spring Split, leading the Regular Season with a 6-3 record. However, despite a 0-2 loss to G2, they managed a deep run in the Lower Bracket, eventually succumbing to a 3-1 defeat in the Grand Finals.

Razork (3.5 KDA) has demonstrated proactive and adaptable gameplay, while rookie Oscarinin (3.2 KDA) has shown outstanding mechanical skills as a top laner. At his peak, Humanoid (3.3 KDA) is a formidable mid laner, standing as the determining factor for Fnatic’s success. This is especially true with Noah (4.3 KDA) and Jun’s great cohesion in the bot lane.

Fnatic roster:

  • Óscar “Oscarinin” Jiménez
  • Iván “Razork” Díaz
  • Marek “Humanoid” Brázda
  • Oh “Noah” Hyeon-taek
  • Yoon “Jun” Se-jun

3. Team BDS

Swiss juggernaut Team BDS has upset potential, capable of clinching the Worlds spot or securing a place in the LEC Finals. They finished 3rd at LEC Spring and Winter 2024, narrowly losing 2-3 to Fnatic and MAD in the LB Finals, respectively. However, their unorthodox picks often backfire as teams adapt to their strategies.

Despite these setbacks, BDS’s form rivals that of top LEC contenders. Adam is a titanic top laner and LCK import Ice (5.5 KDA) has proven to fill Crownie’s big shoes in the bot lane. Although Sheo (4.7 KDA) and Nuc (3.9 KDA) lack the prestigious titles of other mid/jungle duos, they have shown remarkable cohesion, consistently jumping on leads to secure victories.

Team BDS roster:

  • Adam “Adam” Maanane
  • Théo “Sheo” Borile
  • Ilias “nuc” Bizriken
  • Yoon “Ice” Sang-hoon
  • Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis

4. Team Heretics

Team Heretics have a fighting chance at LEC Summer 2024. The acquisition of Zwyroo (4.7 KDA) and Trymbi has led to a remarkable improvement in the team’s overall performance. Trymbi, in particular, has been more facilitative as support for a Flakked bot, while Zwyroo has held down mid.

Both players have also synergized well with top laner Wunder (5.5 KDA) and jungler Jankos (3.0 KDA), who are the difference-makers in securing a top-3 finish. While some consider Flakked (5.0 KDA) as a borderline-weak link for Heretics, the current lineup lends space for him to focus on slow-scaling ADCs to make an aggressive comeback in drawn-out matches.

Team Heretics roster:

  • Martin “Wunder” Hansen
  • Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski
  • Artur “Zwyroo” Trojan
  • Victor “Flakked” Tortosa
  • Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus

Note: MAD Lions KOI and Team Vitality are notable LEC Summer 2024 contenders. However, MAD’s strategy heavily depends on Elyoya’s ability to carry the team, while Vitality’s successes primarily stem from Carzzy and Vetheo capitalizing on their opponents’ errors.
