Mid-Season Invitational 2024 Schedule

The 2024 LoL Mid-Season Invitational will run from May 1-19, 2024, at the Wuliangye Performing Arts Center in Chengdu, China. The tournament features 12 teams from the regional pro leagues and will be split into the Play-In Stage (May 1-5) and Bracket Stage (May 7-12 and May 14-19).

In the Play-In Stage, two groups of four teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket. All matches will be played as part of best-of-three series. The top two teams in each group will advance to the Bracket Stage, joining the LCK, LPL, LCS, and LEC Spring Split champions. The rest will be eliminated.

In the Bracket Stage, eight teams will face off in a double-elimination format, with each match played as a best-of-five series. The tournament culminates with the Finals on May 19, where the two best teams will not only clash for the MSI 2024 title but also a direct invite to the LoL World Championship.

Our Predictions For Mid-Season Invitational 2024

Looking to place your MSI 2024 betting predictions? Let us guide you through the top LoL teams to watch at this prestigious event. Our expert analysis will help you make informed decisions as you cheer on your favorite teams.

Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and should not be interpreted as betting advice. The odds cited are subject to change. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.

Bilibili Gaming (+155)

Bilibili Gaming is a strong contender for the MSI 2024 title. First off, they are the favorites, with odds of +155 reflecting high statistical confidence. And we’re not surprised—the Chinese powerhouse has a history of success. This includes a dominant run in the LPL, marked by victories at the 2023 Demacia Cup and LPL Spring 2024, the latter of which saw them beat Top Esports 3-1.

BLG’s recent triumphs are undoubtedly attributed to their star-studded roster, including standout players like Bin (KDA 4.3) and knight (KDA 6.3), who are widely regarded among the top (if not the top) players for their roles in the region. Likewise, Elk’s (KDA 6.1) performance as AD carry has also been a highlight of BLG’s games.

Specifically, his prowess with champions like Lucian (87.5% WR, 4.3 KDA) and Smolder (80% WR, 7.0 KDA) has proven his ability to have a massive impact. He’s also become a valuable asset to the team.

BLG’s strong roster and proven prior success positions them as the most likely team to win at MSI 2024.

Bilibili Gaming roster:

  • Chen “Bin” Zebin
  • Peng “Xun” Lixun
  • Zhuo “knight” Ding
  • Zhao “Elk” Jiahao
  • Luo “ON” Wenjun
  • Zuo “LvMao” Minghao (Substitute)

Gen.G Esports (+180)

Gen.G Esports is among the few to rival BLG, making them close contenders for this year’s MSI crown. The four-time LCK champions have been a powerful force in the regional league, boasting a dominant 17-1 record in the Regular Season and losing just 5 of 39 games. This performance raises expectations for their potential on the international stage.

Notably, Gen.G’s indomitable victory over Korean juggernaut T1 is viewed as a significant indicator of their potential to perform at MSI 2024 and secure the title. At the core of this success lies titanic midlaner Chovy (4.4 KDA), who is regarded as one of the best LoL players in the world.

While Chovy has been a potent force in the LCK, the arrival of Kiin (3.1 KDA) and Canyon (1.8 KDA) has massively bolstered the team’s gameplay. Specifically, their ability to control the game makes them a major threat to other teams, especially BLG. With outright odds set at +180, Gen.G is favored as a Grand Finalist unless T1 can step on the pedal.

Gen.G Esports roster:

  • Kim “Kiin” Gi-in
  • Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu
  • Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon
  • Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan
  • Son “Lehends” Si-woo

T1 (+280)

T1 is arguably the most successful LoL esports organization in history. But will the 2023 Worlds champions extend their dominance into MSI 2024? Only time will tell. The Korean juggernaut boasts a 15-3 record (83% WR) during the LCK 2024 Regular Season, dropping only 8 of the 40 games played. That said, the odds reflect high confidence for a top 3 finish.

Supporting this prediction is T1’s stable roster, which includes re-signing GOATed midlaner Faker (3.8 KDA) until 2025. A four-time Worlds champion, Faker brings invaluable skill and experience to the team. In addition, the botlane power duo of Gumayusi (4.0 KDA) and Keria (KDA 5.1) further back T1’s chances of success with their exceptional synergy and mechanical prowess.

However, there are some reservations regarding T1’s performance, particularly in light of Zeus’s underwhelming play in the LCK Spring 2024 Finals. Despite this concern, the return of kkOma as the team’s head coach does inspire confidence in T1’s chances to overcome challenges and replicate their historical success.

T1 roster:

  • Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
  • Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon
  • Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
  • Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
  • Ryu “Keria” Min-seok

Are You Ready For MSI 2024?

It would be an understatement to say that we can’t wait for this year’s MSI to start. From May 1-19, the 12 best LoL teams will clash for a spot at Worlds 2024 and their share of the $250,000 prize pool—not a bad combo. But who will take home first place? Will it be one of the teams in our predictions like Bilibili Gaming or Gen.G Esports? Or could an underdog come out of nowhere to dominate the field? We’ll be watching with eager anticipation, that’s for sure.
