Introducing Same Game Combos at Thunderpick. Same Game Combos (SGC) – sometimes called a “Same Game Parlay” or “One Game Parlay” – is a type of esports bet where you combine multiple selections or outcomes from the same game into a single bet. This allows you to create very specific wagers with high multipliers and high payouts by matching up different events within the same match.
Thunderpick’s Same Game Combo feature offers the most extensive market coverage for League of Legends and Counter-Strike 2(CS2), setting a new standard in esports betting. And this is just the beginning! As we continue to enhance this feature, you’ll soon see it expand to Dota 2, VALORANT, and more, bringing even more excitement to your betting experience.
Bigger odds. Bigger payouts. Bigger thrills.
Same Game Combo Guide
How it Works
Same Game Combo, in simple terms, is multiple selections from the same game. Same Game Combo is available only on pre-matches and can’t be used once a game has started.
In a Same Game Combo, you choose different types of bets all from the same game. For example, you might bet on a combination of:
- Map winners
- Total maps played
- Total Rounds
- Rounds Handicap
- Dragon Types (League of Legends)
- Correct match score
Higher Payouts
Because all selections need to win for the bet to be successful, the risk is higher, but so is the potential payout. The odds for a Same Game Combo will be higher than if you bet on each selection individually.
Correlated Outcomes
Same Game Combos can be appealing because some selections may have correlated outcomes. For example, if you believe an esports team is going to crush the competition you might also bet on who will draw first blood or the duration of the map itself.
Flexibility and Strategy
This type of betting allows for a lot of creativity and strategic thinking, as bettors can craft a bet that reflects their predictions for how a particular game will unfold.
Combining these bets into a Same Game Combo requires all three outcomes to occur for your bet to win. If you correctly predict the match winner and get the match handicap right but you choose the wrong number of maps played then the combo bet loses.
How Do I Place a Same Game Combo at Thunderpick?
Step 1
Find a game, which offers SGC bets. You can do this by scrolling through the list of all esports matches, looking for the SGC badge:
Or, using the special SGC filter, which will show matches with enabled SGC:
Step 2
Open the match page and navigate to the SGC section:
Step 3
Pick selections to add them to the Bet Slip.
Each selection from the SGC tab can be used to create an SGC bet – simply by selecting it, just like for Single or Combo bets. Please note that the odds displayed in the SGC tab are dynamic, meaning they represent the potential final odds of the SGC bet as it is being created. Additionally, some selections cannot be combined with others, so certain choices may limit the availability of other selections. All picked selections can be adjusted in Bet Slip under the “Single” tab:
Step 4
Place an SGC bet: define amount to bet and press the “place bet” button in the Bet Slip. Congratulations! Your bet is now placed and can be found in the “my bets” section:
What to keep in mind with Same Game Combos
- All your selections must be correct for the bet to win.
- The payout is typically higher because of the increased risk.
- You can only use SGC before a match starts.

Same Game Combo FAQs
What is a Same Game Combo (SGC)?
A Same Game Combo (SGC) is a type of wager that enables you to combine multiple selections from a single match into one bet, thereby increasing the potential payout through a higher multiplier. For the bet to be successful, all selected outcomes must occur.
How is Same Game Combo different from a Combo bet?
The key distinction is that SGC focuses on a single game, while a Combo Bet spans multiple games or events. Previously, there was no option to combine multiple selections from the same game, with SGC this is now possible. Please note that Combo Bet is still available in your betslip and this can be used as normal.
Where can I find the selections for Same Game Combo?
You’ll find the matches available for Same Game Combo in the main betting sections listing all the matches. Matches with available SGC will also have the SGC mark on the side of the bet selection. When you click on the different options of a match you’ll also see SGC shown as an option with the other options (All, Match, Map 1, Map 2, etc). Once you’ve placed a SGC you’ll find your selection under the Single Betslip (not Combo).
Where can I see my Same Game Combo once I placed my bet?
Once chosen, your SGC will appear in the betslip under the Single tab (not combo). The betslip will display all the relevant details, including the multiplier and wager amount. If needed, you can also collapse your selections for a clearer view of markets chosen.
Which esports support Same Game Combo betting?
Currently, Same Game Combo betting is available exclusively for League of Legends and CS2. However, more esports titles will be added soon, as we plan to introduce Dota 2 and VALORANT.
What betting markets are offered for Same Game Combos?
The markets available for matches may vary for each game, depending on several factors. However, the THP team continually strives to offer players the widest range of available markets. As a result, most of the markets listed under the ‘All’ tab will typically be available in the ‘SGC’ tab as well.
Why can’t I add certain bets to my Same Game Combo?
Some selections may not be possible to combine with others. For example, one team cannot win three maps while the other team wins the entire match simultaneously. Similarly, if the first dragon in a game is Cloud, then other “first dragon” selections cannot occur. These selections are mutually exclusive, so the system will prevent them from being combined, as it would result in placing an already lost bet.
This may also apply to selections that inherently include certain events (e.g., match handicaps). In most cases, these can be included in the bet without affecting the odds. However, in some instances, these selections may be locked, as they do not impact the outcome.
Why do the odds differ when I create a Same Game Combo compared to a single bet or a multi-game combo?
The final odds for SGC are calculated differently than for other games, such as Combo games. In SGC, the selections representing events in the match are partially dependent on each other. Additionally, the odds displayed next to each selection in the SGC tab are dynamically calculated and reflect the final odds that would apply to the SGC bet if those selections were added.
Why do some betting options become unavailable when building a Same Game Combo?
Certain bet combinations may conflict with each other. To ensure fair play and accurate odds, the system restricts these conflicting options, allowing only selections that can be combined within the Same Game Combo.
Can I create a Same Game Combo across multiple maps?
Yes, but only if these maps are from the same match. SGC is available for each standard CS2 and League of Legends format: Best of 1, Best of 3, and Best of 5. In Bo3 and Bo5, some markets are defined for specific maps that are played as part of the same match.
Is it possible to combine bets from different games into a Same Game Combo?
No as Same Game Combos are designed to allow you to combine bets within a single game only. To place bets on multiple games, you’ll need to create separate bets or use a standard Combo Bet instead.
Are Same Game Combos offered for traditional sports betting?
No, for now, SGC is offered only for League of Legends and CS2 games. In the near future, we plan to expand the list of games with the SGC feature by adding titles like VALORANT and Dota 2. However, if players show interest in this feature, it’s possible that sports games will be introduced to SGC as well.
