What Is the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT)?

The VCT is an esports tournament series that’s organized by Riot Games.

Each season, the VCT runs multiple tournaments. At these tournaments, the best VALORANT teams from around the world, including the likes of Cloud9 and LOUD, will take part and compete for the big cash prizes.

In 2023, the VCT was refreshed and upgraded with a brand-new format. Now, every season is split into 3 international regions:

  • Americas
  • EMEA
  • Pacific

Each region has its own International League containing 10 teams. Throughout the season, each International League follows a single round-robin format where teams play each other once, with the top 6 teams qualifying for the all-important Playoffs.

Here are the teams taking part in each International League:

Americas League

  • 100 Thieves
  • Cloud0
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Furia Esports
  • KRÜ Esports
  • Leviatán
  • LOUD
  • MIBR
  • MIBR
  • NRG

EMEA League

Pacific League

  • DetonatioN FocusMe
  • DRX
  • Gen G
  • Global Esports
  • Paper Rex
  • Rex Regum Qeon
  • T1
  • Talon Esports
  • Team Secret

So, how do teams from each International League qualify for VALORANT Champions? Simple — the top 3 teams qualify for VALORANT Champions 2023. This means that 9 teams from the VCT make it to the season-crowning Championship that fans care about the most.
