VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 2 Schedule & Format

VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2 runs from June 18 to July 20. Organized by Riot Games, this offline LAN event will take place at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany. VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2 features two competition stages: the Group Stage and the Playoffs Stage.

The Group Stage runs from June 18 to July 11 and features two single round-robin groups. Group Alpha has five teams and Group Omega has six, with team placement drawn from performances during the VCT 2024: EMEA Kickoff event. All matches in the Group Stage are best-of-three. The top six teams, in terms of overall score from the VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1 and 2 events, will advance to the Playoffs.

In the VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs, we’ll see the top six teams compete from July 15-20, 2024. This part of the event features a hybrid-elimination bracket, with the first round being single-elimination. From the semifinals and onwards, the format changes to double-elimination. The lower bracket final and grand final are best-of-five, while the rest of the matches are best-of-three. The top three teams earn spots in this year’s VALORANT Champions that’s scheduled for August.

Our Predictions For VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 2

We’ve consulted our crystal ball to bring you predictions for the VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2 event. You’ll find our top four picks in order of predicted placement below.

Please note: Our VCT 2024: EMEA 2 predictions are based on past team performances in Stage 1 and Masters events. We also consider matchup histories and current player form while sprinkling in the author’s expert opinion. You should never interpret these predictions as betting advice to act upon. Always gamble responsibly. You must be 18+ to play.

1. Fnatic

Fnatic had a slow start to VCT 2024, placing fourth in the Kickoff event and not qualifying for Masters Madrid. The team has bounced back with vigor, taking home 1st place at VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1 and earning a respectable 7th-8th place finish at Masters Shanghai.

We predict Fnatic will steal the show at VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2 in their current form and upward trajectory. After all, the team is loaded with stars. Leo, Derke, and Alfajer appeared on our list of the best VALORANT players of 2023, and both Chronicle and Boaster received honorable mentions.

Fnatic roster:

  • Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev
  • Leo “Leo” Jannesson
  • Emir “Alfajer” Beder
  • Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov
  • Jake “Boaster” Howlett (IGL)
  • Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit (Head Coach)

2. Team Heretics

There is no denying that Team Heretics is one of the top VALORANT squads. They narrowly lost in the Grand Final of Masters Shanghai (3-2 score) against Gen. G Esports and earned a 2nd place finish at both the VCT 2024: EMEA Kickoff and Stage 1 events. Can Team Heretics put those multiple 2nd-place finishes behind them and take the top spot at VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2? Or will history repeat itself? We can’t wait to find out!

Team Heretics roster:

  • Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish
  • Dominykas “MiniBoo” Lukaševičius
  • Enes “RieNs” Ecirli
  • Mert “Wo0t” Alkan
  • Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius (IGL)
  • Neil “neilzinho” Finlay (Coach)
  • Brandon William “weber” Weber (Coach)

3. FUT Esports

FUT Esports sits on top of the cross-stage group leaderboard in VCT 2024: EMEA and has proven they can claim a podium finish with a respectable 3rd place in Stage 1. The Turkish side also knocked Fnatic out of the Shanghai Masters, cementing themselves as a top contender.

With a 2021 world champion, cNed, on their roster and strong recent performances, the sky’s the limit for FUT Esports. That’s why we’ve chosen the Turkish side as the third and final team from the EMEA region to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2024.

FUT Esports roster:

  • Mehmet “cNed” İpek
  • Eray “yetujey” Budak
  • Ata “ATA KAPTAN” Tan
  • Doğukan “qRaxs” Balaban
  • Furkan “MrFaliN” Yeğen (IGL)
  • Eray “GAIS” Sarıkaya (Coach)
  • Alp “sw4y” Özkuvancı (Coach)

4. Karmine Corp

At VCT 2024: EMEA Kickoff, Karmine Corp had a fantastic run with a 1st-place finish. They then earned a 5-6th-place finish at Masters Madrid. Despite a great start to the year, Karmine Corp has fallen off the map with questionable form. However, they’re still in a solid position with a 3-3 scoreline in the cross-stage group. That’s why we anticipate seeing Karmine Corp finish 4th and not make it to VALORANT Champions 2024.

Karmine Corp roster:

  • Ryad “Shin” Ensaad
  • Martin “marteen” Pátek
  • Marshall “N4RRATE” Massey
  • Tomás “tomaszy” Machado
  • Martin “Magnum” Peňkov (IGL)
  • Andrey “Engh” Sholokhov (Coach)
  • Ahmed “ZE1SH” Sheikh (Coach)
