The tournament boasts two stages of competition, starting with the Group Stage, known as &#8220;The Road to The International,&#8221; followed by the Playoffs Stage, known simply as &#8220;The International.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Sept. 4 to 7, the teams will compete in a five-round Swiss bracket, where they&#8217;ll face other teams with the same series record. For example, a 2-1 record team will compete against another team with the same 2-1 record.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After five rounds of play, the three teams that manage to score four wins will secure spots in The International, and the three teams with four losses are eliminated. The 10 remaining teams will compete in a special elimination round, pitting the strongest against the weakest performers, with the five winning teams moving on to The International, and the five losing teams will be eliminated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The International runs from Sept. 11 to 14, as the final eight teams compete in front of thousands of fans at the Barclays Arena. Teams are seeded into the double-elimination bracket based on their performance in the Group Stage. While it is impossible to know for sure who will lift the Aegis of Champions, we channeled our inner Oracles to bring you our predictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> <em>These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and the latest available odds. Always gamble responsibly.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"team-spirit\"><strong>Team Spirit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With five 4th-place finishes and one win (DreamLeague S26) at significant events, there was some debate about <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/team-spirit-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"Team Spirit\">Team Spirit<\/a>&#8217;s form. The squad silenced any doubters at the Esports World Cup (EWC), completing a flawless Playoffs run with 2-0 sweeps over Gaimin Gladiators and PARIVISION. In the Grand Final, despite the crowd on the side of their opponents, Team Spirit swept <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/team-falcons-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"49\" title=\"Team Falcons\">Team Falcons<\/a> with a 3-0 win, securing the 1st-place prize of $1 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the players can maintain their dominating form, they may prove to be an unstoppable force at TI 14. After all, Team Spirit won the Aegis in 2021 and 2023, with Yatoro, Collapse, Miposhka, and coach Silent becoming two-time champions. We can&#8217;t help but wonder if it&#8217;s time for a third!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Team Spirit roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Illya &#8220;<strong>Yatoro<\/strong>&#8221; Mulyarchuk<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Denis &#8220;<strong>Larl<\/strong>&#8221; Sigitov<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Magomed &#8220;<strong>Collapse<\/strong>&#8221; Khalilov<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Alexandr &#8220;<strong>rue<\/strong>&#8221; Filin<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Yaroslav &#8220;<strong>Miposhka<\/strong>&#8221; Naidenov<\/em> <em>(Captain)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Airat &#8220;<strong>Silent<\/strong>&#8221; Gaziev (Coach)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"team-tidebound\"><strong>Team Tidebound<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Clavision Masters 2025 Snow-Ruyi was the most recent S-Tier Dota 2 esports tournament ahead of TI 14, and as such, one of the best indications of current team form. Team Tidebound went 4-0 in the Group Stage, bounced back from a loss in the Playoffs, and defeated <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/tundra-esports-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Tundra Esports\">Tundra Esports<\/a> in a nail-biting 3-2 Grand Final. The Chinese squad\u2019s win showcased solid tactics, fantastic individual skill, and most importantly, excellent big-match temperament.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a fun bit of history, Tidebound has a strong connection to the last Chinese team to lift the Aegis, <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/wings-gaming-overview\">Wings Gaming<\/a>, which was back in 2016. Faith_bian, y`, and coach bLink (then a player) were part of the historic <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/wings-gaming-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"159\" title=\"wings gaming\">Wings Gaming<\/a> roster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consider Team Tidebound making it to the Grand Final as our bold prediction for TI 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Team Tidebound roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Guo &#8220;<strong>shiro<\/strong>&#8221; Xuanang<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Cheng &#8220;<strong>NothingToSay<\/strong>&#8221; Jin Xiang<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Zhang &#8220;<strong>Faith_bian<\/strong>&#8221; Ruida<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Lin &#8220;<strong>planet<\/strong>&#8221; Hao<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Zhang &#8220;<strong>y`<\/strong>&#8221; Yiping (Captain)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Zhou &#8220;<strong>bLink<\/strong>&#8221; Yang (Coach)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bet-boom-team\"><strong>BetBoom Team<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite their star-studded roster, no one on BetBoom Team has won The International. The squad has clawed its way to the #2 spot on the EPT Leaderboard throughout the season, lifting the FISSURE Universe Episode 4 trophy and winning the PGL Wallachia Season 5.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BetBoom Team suffered a reverse sweep at the hands of Tundra Esports during a Quarterfinal match at the EWC, though, and placed 4th at the Clavision Masters 2025 Snow-Ruyi event. However, the players showed solid form at the EWC event, topping their group before losing 2-0 to Team Falcons in the Playoffs to finish in 5th-8th place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an organization, Liquid has won The International twice (2017 and 2024).
