HEROIC dug deep on the T side to pull ahead, winning the map 13\u20139 to tie the series 1\u20131, forcing a decider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HEROIC pulled out all the stops to put up an immaculate CT side defense on Nuke to secure a 10\u20132 first half. While K27 did manage six rounds in the second half, HEROIC finished off the map 13\u20138. With the 2\u20131 reverse-sweep comeback win, HEROIC earned a spot in the Playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After losing to K27, <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/virtus-pro-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"157\" title=\"Virtus.pro\">Virtus.pro<\/a> bounced back to secure second place in Group A by defeating BESTIA 2\u20130 and taking revenge on K27 with a clean sweep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOTU Wins Group B After Nail-Biter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ranked #25 on the VRS Global leaderboard just before the event kicked off, HOTU was one of the tournament favorites.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOTU got off to a flying start in Group B, taking down Wildcard in a clean 2\u20130 series win, with a 13\u20137 win on Mirage and a 13\u20135 stomp on Cache. They didn\u2019t give HOTU time to stabilize, finishing off the map 13\u20132.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOTU flipped the script on Nuke, taking a 10\u20132 lead on the CT side. As teams switched sides, HOTU was flawless on the T side to win the map 13\u20133, completing the reverse-sweep comeback and propelling themselves to the Playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wildcard pulled off a reverse-sweep comeback against EYEBALLERS and sent Team Nemesis packing with a 2\u20130 win to claim second place in Group B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BBL Esports Stuns In Group C<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the start of the tournament, BBL Esports were one of the underdogs. In our <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/thunderpick-world-championship-2026-closed-qualifier-teams-betting-predictions\">tournament preview<\/a>, we did note that the all-Danish side could do significant damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In their opening match of Group C, BBL Esports exceeded expectations, taking down one of the favorites, <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/100thieves-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"161\" title=\"100 Thieves\">100 Thieves<\/a>. BBL Esports rose to the occasion, winning 16\u201313 on their opponents\u2019 map pick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3DMAX instantly responded on Nuke with an 11\u20131 CT half, and finished off the map with a dominating 13\u20133 score to tie the series 1\u20131.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BBL Esports showcased a CT-side masterclass on Inferno to take a commanding 9\u20133 lead in the first half.
