We spoke with TeSeS from Team Falcons ahead of TWC’s first day. Talking about his role on the team, and how the team has handled the highs and lows of results following the Major win.

With Falcons being such a star studded roster, what it is you specifically bring to the team? What would you say people should be looking out for the most from you?

I think being like this safety line on the team, being able to secure rounds when things are looking hard and saving rounds when the other guys are not shining through and just being this kind of support to the other players and make them play better, that’s mainly what I try to do.

You guys are opening up against NIP, who obviously were a last minute call up. Does that change any of the prep that you guys would have had going into this opening round?

Well, luckily we didn’t start the prep yet, so nothing went to waste. But yeah, nothing got ruined in the prep or anything. So everything is fine and we’re going to do it like normal. And NIP is on the up-rise by winning the previous two tournaments. So yeah, it’s going to be very exciting. And I’m playing two of my former teammates from that team, so it will be fun.

What’s it like seeing a former teammate in the server in an offline?

Yeah, it’s fun. It makes the games a little bit more important to you and one of them is one of my really good friends. So it’s good. And it’s a little bit more fun to win than lose. For sure.

Is there more or less pressure now that Falcons have achieved the Major win?

I don’t really think any change for him or for any of us. I still think we are just as hungry and motivated to win more. I also think the way the next season started was just us running flat and that is like super annoying. It just makes you… not angry, but it’s more like it makes you more motivated. And it’s obviously sad because after the Major you think, okay, now we’re on the right track now we won this one trophy and hopefully we’re going to be able to snowball and you have all these thoughts that now everything is good and we want it to be better, but then just falling flat is a horrible feeling, but it doesn’t change what we need to go and do.

Legacy, who knocked you out of EWC, are in this event as well. Are there any specific teams that you want to play once you get to the playoffs?

Yeah, I think this tournament is actually quite good for, like, the team that has chosen to come here is actually quite good as teams like Legacy and Aurora and so on. So it would be fun to meet one of these two teams.

Which of the groups do you think is the harder of the two?

I’m not sure.

Who do you think is coming first and which team do you think is probably going to come last at the event?

I think we’ll be first. And which team will come last? I’m not sure. I’m not sure.
