The LEC 2026 Summer Playoffs are set to crown the region’s final domestic champion of the season and determine which three teams qualify for the 16th edition of the League of Legends World Championship. The LEC 2026 Summer Playoffs run from Sept. 5–20 across three European venues: the Madrid Arena in Madrid, Spain; the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany; and the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, France.
The Playoffs will use a seeded double-elimination bracket. The top four teams from the Regular Season will begin in the Upper Bracket, while the 5th–6th place finishers enter through the Lower Bracket. All matches will be best-of-five series using Fearless Draft.
Ft. Riot Games
As the 1st seed, Karmine Corp earned the right to select its opening opponent from the teams that finished 3rd–4th, choosing GIANTX. This leaves Team Vitality to face G2 Esports in the other Upper Bracket Semifinal, while Natus Vincere and Movistar KOI wait for the respective losers in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.

Prize Pool
As with the LCK and LCS, Riot has not allocated any prize money toward the LEC 2026 Summer Playoffs.
Instead, teams finishing 1st–2nd will qualify directly to the World Championship Swiss Stage, while the 3rd-place finisher enters through the Worlds Play-In Stage. Those placing 4th–5th will qualify for the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational.

Despite finishing third with a 6–3 series record in the Regular Season, G2 Esports (#6 GPR) are our top pick at the LEC 2026 Summer Playoffs.
With nearly $23,500 in trading volume, G2 has a 40% implied probability of outright victory, backed by a strong 30–15 record and 66.7% win rate this year. While the team’s Summer campaign was far from spotless, their 14–7 game record still demonstrates how rarely they lose without putting up a fight.

Karmine Corp (#8 GPR) are the prediction-market favorites heading into the LEC 2026 Summer Playoffs, with a 54% probability of outright victory.
That confidence is supported by 2nd-place finishes at LEC Versus, LEC Spring, and both the EWC 2026 EMEA Qualifier and Main Event. They also had a flawless 9–0 series record and a strong 18–2 game score in the Summer Split. KC swept seven of their nine opponents, including both VIT and GX, plus a 2–1 win over G2, reversing their earlier defeats.

Team Vitality (#24 GPR) is our dark-horse pick for the LEC 2026 Summer Playoffs.
After opening the Summer Split with consecutive 0–2 defeats against KC and G2, VIT responded by winning seven consecutive series. They finished the Regular Season in 2nd place at 7–2 (78% win rate) with a 14–8 game record, placing them above G2 and securing an Upper Bracket berth in the Playoffs.
While that recovery included victories over GIANTX, Natus Vincere, and every team outside the top three, prediction markets have assigned only a 9% chance of outright victory.
The primary reason is that odds of 3.10 against G2 in the opening match mean VIT will likely scrape through the Lower Bracket. Even so, their current form should make them favorites against most remaining opponents, whom they already mostly defeated in the Regular Season.
