ENCE Review: Place Your Bets on ENCE

ENCE is a Finnish eSports company. The name ‘ENCE’ is one of the most recognizable names on the Counter-Strike competitive front and was inspired by the Enceladus of Greek mythology.

Within the industry, ENCE has always had a reputation for being the underdog, which inspired the #EZ4ENCE meme on Twitter and other social media platforms. No matter whom you speak to in the eSports world, they will have some form of opinion about ENCE eSports – that’s for sure!

Active: 2013 – Now

ENCE was founded in 2013. Despite being primarily known for their CS: GO rosters over the years, they also have teams competing in Overwatch, League of Legends, PUBG, and more.

After a rocky first few years, ENCE has arguably become one of the best CS: GO teams in the world, peaking at #2 in the official HLTV team ranking and beating Astralis to win the BLAST Pro Series 2019 final in Madrid.

Since then, after numerous changes to the roster, ENCE has started to slip down the rankings again and is returning to its original ‘underdog’ image. ENCE’s main problem is being unable to keep winning rosters together for a long period of time. If you’re interested in following the group, you can do so via its Twitter and Instagram social media channels.

How to Bet on ENCE

eSports betting is incredibly popular at the moment. So, whether you’re a supporter of ENCE or a casual fan, you’re likely interested in placing some bets on the games. If you’re ready to bet on esports, check out the latest odds at Thunderpick.

ENCE: Games, Divisions, and Rosters

ENCE plays different games and competes in various divisions. The team is also known for changing its rosters. Let’s take a look at the main games that ENCE plays and the rosters for each of these games.

CS: GO

CS: GO is where ENCE always does its best. The current roster for CSGO ENCE consists of the following:

Eutu “sAw” Saha (Coach)

A Finish former professional CS: GO player turned coach for ENCE. Having been part of ENCE since 2020, “sAw” is the longest-serving member of the roster and is seen as the team’s rock.

Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer

“Snappi” is a veteran of the industry, having been active on the circuit since 2008. He last competed at the Intel Extreme Masters XI World Championship.

Paweł “dycha” Dycha

A Polish player who plays as a Rifler for ENCE.

Pavle “maden” Bošković

A solid player who won the CCT North Europe Series #2 in 2022.

Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia

The Spanish “SunPayus” plays as the AWPer for ENCE CSGO.

Valdemar “valde” Vangså

“vaklde” was ranked as the 20th best player of 2018 by HLTV. Although he didn’t make it right to the top, “vaklde” has solid career earnings of $383,978.

PUBG

Over recent years, ENCE’s PUBG roster has undergone significant changes. In 2022, NOOKIE, Mise, and SENTEX (the coach) have all left. This led to many of their fans being upset on Twitter, with one user (@jaakkoallan) tweeting:

“You had a world-class team, now you have nothing. What a waste of talent.”

Now, there are only two players remaining on the active roster as ENCE look to bolster and add new signings for 2023.

Saku “SKUIJKE” Sajakosk

“SKUIJKE” had an excellent 2021 – winning the Frag League Top Division S6 Playoff – before having a relatively quiet 2022. What awaits him in 2023 remains to be seen. If ENCE are to bolster their PUBG lineup, then it’s likely that he will stay on board.

Sami “SkaV” Vaarala

Originally a console player, “SkaV” switched to PC in order to play CS: GO. He discovered PUBG along the way and became obsessed with it until he eventually decided to turn pro. He credits NOOKIE and other former members of ENCE’s roster for helping him to improve.

League of Legends

Previously, ENCE would compete in the NLC to play League of Legends. However, they have not officially been replaced by Granit Gaming. Whether ENCE will return to playing competitive LoL in the future remains to be seen.

The Future of ENCE: 2023 and Beyond

Right now, ENCE needs to boost its rosters and stabilize itself so that it can experience a successful 2023. It’s possible that some academy prospects will get promoted to the main roster, with there said to be several young talents waiting in the line.
