The 2025 esports tournaments calendar is jam-packed with exciting events. Over the next 12 months, fans will watch their favorite teams and players clash in titles like Dota 2, League of Legends (LoL), VALORANT, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

In this guide, you’ll find an overview of all the biggest esports tournaments of the year, so you don’t miss any of the action! We will be posting a list of CS2 tournaments coming in 2025 in the coming days, so make sure to check back soon.

Please note: The information on this page is accurate as of January 2025, but the dates, teams, venues, and prize pools are subject to change. We will update this guide based on any news or announcements made by the tournament organizers.

CS2 Events

The 2025 CS2 calendar is brimming with events, so we decided to list all of the events in a separate CS2 esports tournaments post. The following are some of the ones we are mostly looking forward to.

IEM Katowice

Dota 2 Events

FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025

Fissure Playground begins on Jan. 31 in Belgrade, Serbia, and boasts a $1 million prize pool. As the first major LAN event of 2025, it will kickstart the year with a bang and set the stage for the season ahead. Expect thrilling competition when 16 of the world’s top Dota 2 teams duke it out.

ESL One Raleigh 2025

The International 2025

The International 2025 marks the 14th edition of Dota 2’s premier annual esports event, serving as the culmination of the competitive season. League Of Legends Events

First Stand 2025

First Stand is Riot Games’ newest global cross-regional event, kicking off March 10 at LoL Park in Seoul. It will host the LCK Cup, LPL Split 1, LTA Cross-Conference, LEC Winter, and LCP Split 1 champions, with the results determining seeding at MSI 2025. Best of all, the debut of the Fearless Draft format promises bold strategies as teams push their creativity to the limit!

Mid-Season Invitational 2025

The MSI champion will punch their ticket to the 2025 World Championship, earning their region an extra slot and global bragging rights.

2025 World Championship

VALORANT Events

VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025

VALORANT Masters Bangkok is the first international tournament of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2025 season, kicking off Feb. 20 in Thailand. It will host the top contenders from the Kickoffs in the Americas, China, EMEA, and Pacific, all battling for Championship Points to secure a spot at VALORANT Champions. This is a must-watch event for fans and bettors alike!

Overwatch Events

The 2025 OWCS World Finals is the pinnacle of Overwatch esports, uniting the world’s best teams to compete for the ultimate crown. Last year’s event broke records, drawing nearly 160,000 peak viewers. This year promises even more intense battles that continue to define the competitive Overwatch scene.

ALGS: 2024 Championship

FNCS 2025: Major 1

The 20th season of the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) launches with Major 1 on Jan. 29, setting the tone for the year. Players will navigate a revamped divisional format, consisting of Play-Ins, Group Stages, and a Last Chance Qualifier, all leading to the Major Finals on Feb. 15-16.
