FaZe Clan

The odds position FaZe Clan as the top contender at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024. As of Aug. 12, they are ranked 6th in the HLTV World Ranking and boast an impressive track record this year, placing 1st-4th at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups, 2nd at IEM Katowice, 2nd at PGL Major Copenhagen, and 1st at IEM Chengdu.

Although the team has faced some challenges, the star-studded roster is more than capable of overcoming these obstacles and returning to peak form. This was evident at ESL Cologne 2024, where they made a deep run through Group B, ending with a respectable 5th-6th place after being eliminated by SAW in the Playoffs (1-2).

Beyond this, each player packs tremendous firepower and the tactical acumen to execute jaw-dropping performances. Together, these factors make FaZe well-positioned to clinch a spot in the Fall Final.

FaZe Clan roster:

  • Håvard “rain” Nygaard
  • Helvijs “broky” Saukants
  • Finn “karrigan” Andersen (IGL)
  • Robin “ropz” Kool
  • David “frozen” Čerňanský
  • Filip “NEO” Kubski (Coach)

Virtus.pro

Virtus.pro has what it takes to clinch a spot at the Fall Finals 2024, but they’re finding themselves at a critical juncture. Having started the season on a high note with a 3rd-4th finish at BLAST Premier: Spring Final and the Esports World Cup, the team has been on a bit of a downward spiral following their early exits at Fall Groups and IEM Cologne 2024.

Notably, the integration of electroNic from Cloud9 has proven challenging due to a clash of playstyles with IGL Jame, which some have described as an “ongoing power struggle” within the team. This internal friction has disrupted VP’s cohesion, preventing them from properly capitalizing on their talent.

Despite their conflicting styles, the absence of formidable competitors like Vitality, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, and MOUZ in the BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown may give VP the edge they need to secure a top-two finish. However, this advantage will only matter if they can overcome the internal discord.

Virtus.pro roster:

  • Dzhami “Jame” Ali (IGL)
  • Evgeniy “FL1T” Lebedev
  • Petr “fame” Bolyshev
  • David “n0rb3r7” Daniyelyan
  • Denis “electroNic” Sharipov
  • Andrey “XomA” Mironenko (Coach)

Complexity Gaming

It’s a bold prediction, but the odds suggest that Complexity Gaming may challenge Virtus.pro for the Fall Final spot. The team is ranked 11th on the HLTV World Rankings and has proven to be highly competitive, though they have struggled to overcome Europe’s top-tier squads. Despite this, CoL is far from being counted out and is capable of huge upsets.

In particular, their performance at IEM Cologne 2024 is a testament to their potential as a deep threat. The team confidently beat Virtus.pro (2-1) to advance to the Upper Bracket Semifinals of Group B, driven by standout performances from star rifler EliGE and entry fragger Grim.

Heading into BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, Complexity Gaming can be viewed as a dark horse. If they can iron out their inconsistencies and address lingering coaching issues, they will have the talent and momentum to make a deep run and earn a rightful spot in the Fall Final.

Complexity Gaming roster:

  • Johnny “JT” Theodosiou (IGL)
  • Ricky “floppy” Kemery
  • Michael “Grim” Wince
  • Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli
  • Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
  • Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen (Coach)

Who Will Earn A Spot At The Fall Final?

As expected, BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 is shaping up to be a can’t-miss event, with 16 teams going all out for the last two spots in the Fall Final. But just who will move on from this group of squads? According to our research, FaZe Clan looks like the team to beat. We wouldn’t count out Virtus.pro or Complexity Gaming, though, because they’ve got what it takes to surprise us.

As you get ready to place your bets, just remember that anything can happen, so be sure to practice responsible gambling. Whether you’re rooting for FaZe or hoping to see a major upset, this tournament is going to be packed with action. And the best part?
