Our Predictions For ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024

In front of a live crowd on LAN, anything can happen. CS2 esports is unpredictable, with dozens of variables to consider. But that isn’t stopping us from making our ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 predictions, so let’s jump in!

Please note: Our ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 predictions are based on player and team form, ESL’s event seedings, HLTV team rankings, historical data, stats heading into the event, and the author’s expert opinion. Under no circumstances should readers interpret these predictions as betting advice to act upon. Always gamble responsibly.

1. The MongolZ

The MongolZ showed that they could beat some of the best teams in the world at ESL Pro League Season 19, defeating G2 Esports 2-0 and Falcons 2-1. At YaLLa Compass 2024, The MongolZ topped Group A and decimated everyone during the Playoffs to claim the trophy.

We think the Mongolian squad has what it takes to win ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024. After all, the team has immense momentum as they won both the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024 and YaLLa Compass 2024 events. Over the past three months, they have a remarkable 71.9% win rate, and their AWPer, 910, recently picked up his first MVP award.

The MongolZ roster:

  • Sodbayar “Techno4K” Munkhbold
  • Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch
  • Ayush “mzinho” Batbold
  • Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold
  • Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren (IGL)
  • Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat (Coach)

2. ENCE

In February and March 2024, ENCE held a top-10 world ranking but have since dropped significantly, currently hovering around 30th. If you only look at recent results, you can consider ENCE making it to the Grand Final of ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 our bold prediction.

ENCE could even win the entire event. On paper, they are much stronger than their ranking indicates. Four-time Major winner gla1ve leads the charge, and we’ve seen some significant changes to the team. The organization benched Paweł “dycha” Dycha and Aleksander “hades” Miskiewicz and promoted podi from the academy team. The most significant change is the return of Ukrainian star sdy, formerly known as “somedieyoung.” Will the crowd start cheering “EZ FOR ENCE” in Jönköping? We can’t wait to find out!

ENCE roster:

  • Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev
  • Krzysztof “Goofy” Górski
  • Kacper “Kylar” Walukiewicz
  • Paavo “podi” Heiskanen
  • Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander (IGL)
  • Jakub “kuben” Gurczyński (Coach)

3. Team Falcons

Odds and current world ranking (14th) indicate that Team Falcons is one of the favorites to win this tournament. It’s impossible to deny the team’s pedigree, which includes the Danish duo from the Astralis era, Magisk (x4 Major winner) and dupreeh (x5 Major winner), and legendary coach zonic (x5 Major winner).

The Team Falcons roster can stay calm under pressure, and they have more experience than any other team at ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024. We think there’s a decent chance their immense experience propels them to victory.

Team Falcons roster:

  • Emil “Magisk” Reif
  • Pavle “maden” Bošković
  • Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia
  • Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
  • Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer (IGL)
  • Danny “zonic” Sørensen (Coach)

4. Complexity

Complexity is one of the highest-ranked teams competing at the event. The squad boasts serious firepower, with EliGE clicking heads and South African JT leading the charge. However, in the past three months, Complexity has a 47.1% win rate—and their ranking continues to drop.

There are question marks about Complexity’s form going into ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024. The squad went 2-0 in their group at YaLLa Compass before bombing out, losing the next three matches and getting eliminated in the group stage. Complexity’s early exit at YaLLa Compass due to losing against three lower-ranked teams and their early exit at IEM Dallas 2024 doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Complexity roster:

  • Ricky “floppy” Kemery
  • Michael “Grim” Wince
  • Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli
  • Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
  • Johnny “JT” Theodosiou (IGL)
  • Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen (Coach)
