We’ve seen events like ESL Impact League and VCT Game Changers keep fans on the edge as the best women players compete in front of roaring crowds for substantial prize pools. With immense skill and raw talent, there are so many gifted women in esports to keep an eye on this year.

Let’s discuss the top 10 women in esports that you should follow closely in 2024, celebrating their skill and dominance in multiple titles including Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), VALORANT, fighting games, and StarCraft II.

How We Created This List

To create this list, we set out to find the best-of-the-best women in esports. We considered several factors during our research, including total prize money earned, events won, team roles, and individual performances.

We only chose those esports players actively competing in 2024. As a result, we had to leave off legendary Chinese Hearthstone player Xiaomeng “Liooon” Li, who won the Grandmasters 2019 Global Finals, but has since retired according to reports.

You’ll find the top 10 women esports players and their teams to follow closely in 2024, alongside additional details such as esports title, country of origin, and most notable achievement.

1. Ava “florescent” Eugene

Considered by many as the best woman playing VALORANT in the world, Canadian Ava “florescent” Eugene’s dominance at VCT 2023 Game Changers North America Series S1, S2, and S3 is undeniable. As her team, Shopify Rebellion, earned multiple trophies in 2023 and won at the VCT 2023 Game Changers Championship, she regularly topped the scoreboard. All eyes are on florescent in 2024 following her MVP performance at the Championship!

2. Ana “ANa” Dumbravă

In 2022 and 2023, Romanian AWPer Ana “ANa” Dumbravă dominated the Counter-Strike Impact League scene. With Nigma Galaxy FE, ANa won all four ESL Impact League seasons along with ESL Impact Valencia 2022 and ESL Impact Katowice 2023. She easily tops the scoreboards, resulting in MVP trophies at nearly every event Nigma Galaxy FE won. ANa is in top form and, in all likelihood, will continue to dominate most CS2 events she competes in this year.

3. Michaela “mimi” Lintrup

Throughout the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons, G2 Gozen was an unstoppable force in the VALORANT Game Changers EMEA series. Danish in-game leader (IGL) Michaela “mimi” Lintrup was the tip of that spear, making excellent strategic calls and leading her team to victory. With a VCT 2022 Game Changers Championship win and a third place at the 2023 Championship, mimi has shown excellent consistency and leadership.

She joined the scene in 2008 and impresses year after year, inducing fear in the hearts of her opponents.

6. Natália “daiki” Vilela

The Brazilian star’s consistent performances as a player and IGL have easily earned her a spot on this list. We’re thrilled to watch her crush it again this year.

With wins at multiple Gamers Club Masters Feminina events and impressive runs in the ESL Impact League, kaahSENSEI can click heads with the best of them. In fact, she was the peak performer at the ESL Impact League Season 4 finals with an impact rating of 1.46 and an overall rating of 1.29.

Her last notable tournament placement was in May 2023, when she took home second-place at ESL SC2 Masters 2023 Summer Americas. Can Scarlett come back in 2024 and add more trophies to her cabinet? Throughout the years, she’s shown her determination against the best Street Fighter, Capcom vs. SNK, and Marvel vs. Capcom players worldwide. In 2016, she earned second-place at Capcom Cup 2016 (Street Fighter 5) at the Anaheim Convention Center. Ortiz currently competes in Street Fighter 6 as a member of Evil Geniuses.
