Our Predictions For TWC SA Qualifier 2

The TWC SA Qualifier 2 is one of the first CS2 esports events following the player break, promising exciting CS2 matches. However, following dozens of high-profile roster changes during the player break, it can be tough to put together predictions for the event. With diligent research fueled by a lot of hype, we’ve risen to the challenge to bring you our top four predictions for the TWC SA Qualifier 2 event.

Please note: Our TWC 2024 SA Qualifier 2 predictions are based on player and team form, HLTV rankings, historical data, stats heading into the event, performance at the SA Qualifier 1, and a healthy dose of the author’s expert opinion. Under no circumstances should readers interpret this analysis as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.

1. paiN Gaming

Despite paiN Gaming not participating in the first South American qualifier, we’ve picked the Brazilian side as the favorites to win the TWC SA Qualifier 2. They’re the highest-ranked team competing at the event, boasting a solid lineup and an experienced IGL.

In particular, paiN Gaming added the young prospect João “snow” Vinicius to its starting lineup this past May. The Brazilian rifler shows much promise, and we can’t wait to see how he’ll perform at the TWC SA Qualifier 2.

paiN Gaming roster:

  • Lucas “lux” Meneghini
  • Kaue “kauez” Kaschuk
  • Lucas “nqz” Soares
  • João “snow” Vinicius
  • Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt (IGL)
  • Henrique “rikz” Waku (Coach)

2. RED Canids

Just after the first TWC SA Qualifier finished, RED Candis signed the legendary AWPer and Major winner, coldzera, who’s considered one of the best Counter-Strike players to ever pick up the Big Green. By adding such a talented player to their team, RED Candis is easily one of the top contenders. Also, they’re on the opposite side of the bracket from paiN Gaming, which only increases their chances of reaching the Grand Final.

RED Canids roster:

  • Marcelo “coldzera” David
  • Carlos “venomzera” Dias Junior
  • Wesley “hardzao” Lopes
  • David “dav1deuS” Tapia
  • Gabriel “nython” Lino (IGL)
  • João “righi” Righi (Coach)

3. Fluxo

At the first TWC SA Qualifier, Fluxo finished in 3rd/4th place. On May 9, 2024, the squad added nicks and arT to its roster. The latter is, of course, one of the greatest Brazilian entry fraggers of all time. With arT taking up the leadership role, there’s a solid chance Fluxo could win the TWC SA Qualifier 2.

We’ve decided to go for a 3rd/4th place prediction, though, because Fluxo is on the same side of the bracket as paiN Gaming. Plus, historically, it takes sides a few months to adjust to new in-game leadership.

Fluxo roster:

  • Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves
  • Romeu “zevy” Rocco
  • Richard “chayJESUS” Seidy
  • Nicollas “nicks” Polonio
  • Andrei “arT” Piovezan (IGL)
  • Marcos “tacitus” Castilho (Coach)

4. Sharks Esports

Sharks Esports impressed at the TWC SA Qualifier 1. They nearly made it to the Grand Final but were stopped short in a narrow loss against 9z. But it’s that string of performances that places the Brazilian team in our top four predictions.

Can Portuguese coach Hélder Sancho mastermind an upset? And how will the stand-in Pepe perform? Those are the main factors that could determine how far Sharks Esports makes it in the TWC 2024 SA Qualifier 2.

Sharks Esports roster:

  • Daniel “rdnzao” Monteiro
  • Danilo “doc” Barros
  • João “koala” Pedro
  • Pedro “Pepe” Inácio
  • Victor “gafolo” Andrade (IGL)
  • Hélder “coachi” Sancho (Coach)

Please note: Pepe is acting as a stand-in after Rodrigo “drg” Ausenka, the previous IGL, was moved to the bench.
