IEM Dallas 2024 Schedule & Format

IEM Dallas 2024 runs from May 27 to June 2, 2024, during the DreamHack festival at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. ESL organizes the event, which is part of the Intel Grand Slam and features a total prize pool of $250,000 and 3,700 BLAST Premier points.

The initial Group Stage features a double-elimination format. All the opening matches will be played as a best-of-one series and all subsequent matches as best-of-three. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs stage, with the winners seeded into the Semifinals.

The second and third runners-up in each group will advance to the Quarterfinals as the high and low seeds, respectively. The Playoffs will adopt a single-elimination bracket, and all matchups will be played as a best-of-three series. The tournament winner will earn a direct invite to IEM Cologne 2024.

Our Predictions For IEM Dallas 2024

Are you having trouble picking your bets for IEM Dallas 2024? Check out our analysis of the top four CS2 teams battling it out at the event (in no particular order).

Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.

Team Vitality

Team Vitality shines as a top contender for the IEM Dallas 2024 title. The odds favor a swift victory over 9z in the Group Stage, potentially securing them a direct seed in the semifinals and a guaranteed top-3 finish. As the 4th-ranked CS2 pro team in the HLTV World Rankings, their status as titans is undeniable.

The team boasts a legendary roster of veteran CS talent, including formidable AWPer ZywOo, who has been instrumental to Vitality’s success. Overall, they have a good shot at winning IEM Dallas 2024, with a proven ability to overcome top competitors like Astralis, FaZe, and Natus Vincere at previous events.

Team Vitality roster:

  • Dan “apEX” Madesclaire (IGL)
  • Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut
  • Lotan “Spinx” Giladi
  • Shahar “flameZ” Shushan
  • William “mezii” Merriman
  • Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam (Coach)

Team Spirit

Team Spirit is among the fan favorites at IEM Dallas 2024. Their 2-0 victory over Natus Vincere sets the stage for a thrilling brawl against FaZe Clan, a team they defeated at IEM Katowice. Despite FaZe’s higher HLTV ranking and better form, the odds favor Team Spirit as a force to be reckoned with.

After earning 2nd place and fighting fiercely against MOUZ at Betboom Dacha Belgrade, Team Spirit has proven their ability to compete at the highest level. With a roster of star-studded players, Team Spirit is a team to watch at IEM Dallas 2024.

Team Spirit roster:

  • Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov (IGL)
  • Boris “magixx” Vorobyev
  • Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotja
  • Danil “donk” Kryshkovets
  • Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov
  • Sergey “hally” Shavayev (Coach)

FaZe Clan

With MOUZ eliminated, FaZe Clan is the highest-ranking CS2 team at IEM Dallas 2024. But we’re not surprised! Their performance in recent tournaments has been impressive, placing 2nd at PGL Major Copenhagen, 2nd at IEM Katowice, and 1st at IEM Chengdu, where they defeated MOUZ 2-0.

Despite being considered the underdog against Team Spirit, the match is expected to be close. This is based on their head-to-head record, where they’ve faced off four times, with each team winning twice this year. Assuming they beat Spirit, FaZe has a good shot at clinching the 100th IEM title in Dallas.

FaZe Clan roster:

  • Håvard “rain” Nygaard
  • Helvijs “broky” Saukants
  • Finn “karrigan” Andersen (IGL)
  • Robin “ropz” Kool
  • David “frozen” Čerňanský
  • Filip “NEO” Kubski (Coach)

G2 Esports

G2 Esports is our final bold prediction at IEM Dallas 2024. Despite Hooxi’s absence, the team has shown tremendous resilience and skill, with Stewie2K stepping in as a substitute player. They have already made a mark in the tournament, beating Team Falcons and eliminating MOUZ in the Group Stage.

Their latest performance and consistent 5th spot in the HLTV World Rankings suggest that G2 has a good chance of making a deep run. While the odds suggest that G2 may struggle against favorites like Vitality or FaZe, the team has shown it can perform under pressure and adjust its strategies as needed.

G2 Esports roster:

  • Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Ilya “m0NESY“ Osipov
  • Nemanja “nexa” Isaković
  • Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip (Substitute) *
  • Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas (Coach)

Note: G2 Esports announced that Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip will stand in for Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen at IEM Dallas 2024, as Nielsen will be absent due to personal reasons.

Who Will Take Home The IEM Dallas Crown?

Will Team Vitality actually win it all at this year’s IEM Dallas? Or could G2 pull through and defy the odds to take home the grand prize? We’ll have to wait and see, of course, and you know we’ll be watching the action closely. Remember that you can catch every match right here at Thunderpick, where you can also place wagers on who you think will win it all. All you have to do is visit our IEM Dallas 2024 betting page and create an account (or log in if you have one already!). Good luck!
