BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 Schedule And Format

BetBoom Dacha Dubai is an offline LAN event from tournament hosts FISSURE and BetBoom. Dota 2 esports fans can mark their calendars for Feb. 4 to Feb. 16, 2024 to watch the MOBA action unfold. The 12 teams will compete for their share of the $1 million prize pool as they fight through two stages of competition.

We’ll see all teams first compete in a Group Stage, which runs from Feb. 4 to Feb. 8. The Group Stage features two single round-robin groups of six teams each, and two games are played in all matches. The top four teams from each group qualify for the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs Stage, while the bottom two teams from each group are eliminated.

From Feb. 11 to Feb. 16, the Playoffs Stage will take place with a double-elimination bracket format. All matches are best-of-three (BO3), except for the Grand Final, which is a best-of-five (BO5) slugfest. Matches begin each day at 10 a.m. CET | 1 a.m. PST. The Grand Final of BetBoom Dacha Dubai will begin at 3 p.m. CET | 6 a.m. PST on Feb. 16, 2024.

Our Predictions For BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024

Let’s channel our inner Oracle and discuss predictions for BetBoom Dacha Dubai! Our predictions showcase the possible top four teams and explain why we made these picks.

Please note: Our predictions are based on historical data and trends, stats, team rankings, and the author’s expert opinion. These predictions should not be interpreted as betting advice to act upon. Always gamble responsibly.

1. Team Spirit

Striking fear into the hearts of any opponents they face, Team Spirit is the squad to beat at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024. As champions of The International 2021, Riyadh Masters 2023, and The International 2023, their dominance is undeniable. That’s why odds indicate Team Spirit as the clear favorites, ranging from 2.1 to 2.3 (Decimal) to win the event.

Their roster hasn’t changed since March 2021, indicating a cohesive environment filled with talent and two-time TI champions. With their high skill level and adaptability, this team is primed to dominate in Dubai.

Team Spirit roster:

  • Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk
  • Denis “Larl” Sigitov
  • Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov
  • Myroslav “Mira” Kolpakov
  • Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov

2. Xtreme Gaming

Xtreme Gaming underwent, at the risk of sounding cheesy, extreme roster changes in the off-season, with only Ding “Dy” Cong remaining from the original squad. So why is this squad so high up on our predictions list? For all intents and purposes, Xtreme Gaming is the new Chinese superteam featuring the legendary carry Wang “Ame” Chunyu.

Current odds indicate a top-four finish due to the talented lineup, despite significant roster changes, which would generally see the odds plummet. The unpredictable nature of Xtreme Gaming makes this roster so terrifying. They could bomb out in the Group Stage or win the entire event!

Xtreme Gaming roster:

  • Wang “Ame” Chunyu
  • Guo “Xm” Hongcheng
  • Lin “Xxs” Jing
  • Zhao “XinQ” Zixing
  • Ding “Dy” Cong

3. Gaimin Gladiators

You may recall that Gaimin Gladiators were the BetBoom Dacha 2023 champions. The squad had a fantastic year, winning six S-Tier events, including the Lima and Bali Majors. However, losing 3-0 to Team Spirit in the Grand Final of The International 2023 and suffering a devastating reverse sweep against Azure Ray at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 may affect their confidence levels heading into this event.

Can Gaimin Gladiators step it up as the defending champions and break their recent second-place curse? The odds put this team as second favorites to win BetBoom Dacha Dubai, so seeing repeat champions is possible. It all depends on how well they play in their opening matches in Group A.

Gaimin Gladiators roster:

  • Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov
  • Quinn “Quinn” Callahan
  • Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard
  • Erik “tOfu” Engel
  • Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp

4. Team Liquid

If we were just looking at odds, we’d see that Team Liquid is the third-favorite squad to win BetBoom Dacha Dubai, just a tiny margin above Xtreme Gaming. However, we’re considering much more than that. Like how Team Liquid has not won an S-Tier Dota 2 event since China Dota 2 Supermajor in 2018—and the current team form is up for debate.

With Israeli star Neta “33” Shapira joining the roster (Nov. 28, 2023) in the offlane position, there’s a chance Liquid could go further than a four-place finish. It all depends on how well 33 has acclimated and how the squad adapts.

Team Liquid roster:

  • Michael “miCKe” Vu
  • Michał “Nisha” Jankowski
  • Neta “33” Shapira
  • Samuel “Boxi” Svahn
  • Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi
