Our Predictions For PGL Major Copenhagen

To avoid possible upsets in the Opening Stage, we chose our top four PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 predictions from the Elimination Stage teams. Check out our predictions for the top four at CS2’s first Major Championship.

Please note: Our PGL Major Copenhagen predictions are based on historical CS2 data and stats. We also considered current player and team form, as well as HLTV’s World Rankings. As always, we finish off the recipe with a good helping of the author’s expert opinion. The predictions should not be interpreted as betting advice to act upon. Always gamble responsibly.

1. FaZe Clan

If there was ever a time for the legendary Danish in-game leader (IGL), Finn “karrigan” Andersen, to rally his squad to victory, it’s in front of a home crowd. With a star-studded lineup featuring the fantastic lurker Robin “ropz” Kool and stalwart AWPer Helvijs “broky” Saukants, FaZe Clan is the team to beat.

Odds indicate that FaZe Clan is the slight favorite to win PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. The squad is on top of the HLTV World Rankings (as of March 5, 2024) despite three consecutive 2nd-place finishes on LAN. It’s time to break that 2nd-place trend!

FaZe Clan roster:

  • Robin “ropz” Kool
  • Håvard “rain” Nygaard
  • Helvijs “broky” Saukants
  • David “frozen” Čerňanský
  • Finn “karrigan” Andersen (IGL)

2. Team Spirit

There is no doubt that Team Spirit dominated IEM Katowice 2024, absolutely crushing FaZe Clan 3-0 in the grand final. Following their tremendous and surprising win, Team Spirit went on to qualify for the PGL Copenhagen Major.

If Danil “donk” Kryshkovets can remain in form and decimate enemies while Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov makes excellent in-game calls, Team Spirit could claim a podium finish at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. And if everything really goes their way, they may even lift the trophy!

Team Spirit roster:

  • Danil “donk” Kryshkovets
  • Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov
  • Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotja
  • Boris “magixx” Vorobyev
  • Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov (IGL)

3. Team Vitality

Odds indicate Team Vitality has a strong chance of a top-three finish. HLTV places them as the 2nd-best team in the world as of the March 5, 2024 Rankings update. The story of CS2’s first Major Championship would be perfect if “The Chosen One” and the best player of 2023, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, features in the grand final.

The question remains: Can Team Vitality shake off its early exit from IEM Katowice 2024, or will that loss haunt them in Copenhagen? We’ll have to wait and see.

Team Vitality roster:

  • Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut
  • Lotan “Spinx” Giladi
  • Shahar “flameZ” Shushan
  • William “mezii” Merriman
  • Dan “apEX” Madesclaire (IGL)

4. G2 Esports

Recent performances heading into the PGL Copenhagen Major indicate star rifler Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and young AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov are playing extremely well, making G2 Esports one of our top picks.

At the European RMR A, G2 Esports was simply fantastic, scoring 3-0 to qualify for the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 and beating FaZe Clan 2-0. Odds indicate that G2 Esports should finish the event in 5th to 6th place, so consider this our bold prediction!

G2 Esports roster:

  • Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
  • Nemanja “nexa” Isaković
  • Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen (IGL)
