BLAST Open Porto 2026 Schedule & Format
Running from Aug. 26 to Sept. 6, BLAST Open Porto 2026 (aka Open Fall or Open Season 2) features two distinct stages of competition.
In the Group Stage (Aug. 26–31), the 16 teams are divided into two groups of eight. A double-elimination (GSL-style) format is used, with best-of-three matches throughout. The Group Stage takes place on LAN at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Once the dust settles, the top six move on to compete in front of a passionate crowd at the Super Bock Arena venue in Porto, Portugal.
The Playoffs (Sept. 4–6) employ a no-nonsense single-elimination bracket, with best-of-three Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches. In the Grand Final on Sept. 6, the top two teams will duke it out in a best-of-five series.

Prize Pool Distribution

A big reason for that is Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, who has been playing at the top of his game. He has helped his squad make some serious headway after the player break, when they lost to MOUZ in the Grand Final of BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2.
Bouncing back swiftly, Team Spirit killed it at EWC 2026 in Paris. In the Playoffs, magixx’s men eliminated B8 (2–0), Team Vitality (2–1), Legacy (2–0), and ultimately, FUT Esports with a 3–1 score in the Grand Final. The only caveats with picking Team Spirit to win are travel and prep time.
Spirit has roughly three days to recover from winning EWC 2026 on Aug. 23, as the Porto tournament starts on Aug. 26. However, they should have an easy opening match in Group A against DENDELE CS, one of the lowest-ranked teams at the tournament.
Tournament winner odds of 4.30 (+330) indicate that Team Spirit is among the favorites, with a 23.26% probability. There’s a 40% chance we’ll see them in the Grand Final, implied by odds of 2.50 (+150).

Team Falcons (#2)
Ranked #2 on the VRS Global leaderboard with a respectable 69.2% match win rate over the past three months, Team Falcons is our pick to soar into the Grand Final. While we predict they’ll lose to an on-form Team Spirit, they can just as easily 3–0 their opponents to claim the crown.
If the superstars of Team Falcons all show up, clicking heads with the vigor they showcased during their historic IEM Cologne Major 2026 victory, there’s little reason to doubt karrigan’s men.
However, recent results have proven that the reigning Major champions can falter well before the finish line. They suffered a shockingly early exit during the Closed Qualifier stage at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2, losing 1–2 following a reverse-sweep by underdogs 100 Thieves.
The squad had some stellar performances to top Group B at EWC 2026. In their opening Playoffs match, Team Falcons made quick work of The MongolZ in a convincing 2–0 win. Despite their strong form, they were eliminated 2–0 by Legacy, who went on to finish 3rd.
Team Falcons is the favorite to win BLAST Open Porto 2026, according to the odds of 3.75 (+275), indicating a 26.67% chance of success. A spot in the Grand Final for Team Falcons is likely at a probability of 47.62%, as implied by odds of 2.10 (+110).

Team Vitality (#3)
The Team Vitality era of utter dominance may be over, but that doesn’t mean you should count them out. After placing 5th–8th at the IEM Cologne Major, Team Vitality failed to secure a spot in the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Playoffs, suffering a 2–0 loss in the Round of 32 to Team Liquid.
Team Vitality narrowly made it past Group C of the EWC 2026. While they did beat FaZe Clan 2–0 in the first round, they were eliminated by Team Spirit in a 2–1 slugfest during the Quarterfinals.
At BLAST Open Porto 2026, Lithuanian lurker Justinas “jL” Lekavičius (a Major MVP) will act as a stand-in for William “mezii” Merriman, who is on paternity leave. Fans might see this temporary roster change as a reason to doubt Team Vitality. However, our expert predicts jL could bring a bit of extra energy and an X-factor that could propel apEX’s men to a podium finish.
Despite the stand-in situation and a string of relatively poor results considering Team Vitality’s stature, odds of 5.00 (+400) indicate that they are still a top-three team, with a 20% probability of lifting the trophy.
